November 9th - Learning Lino Printmaking Workshop

Discover the art of lino printmaking in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners and designed for fun! Learn the fundamentals of this versatile and rewarding technique, from designing your print to carving your lino block and printing your masterpiece.

The workshop is run by Emily Wright from Ahki Illustration who is well known locally for her bold black and white surf lino prints. She will help you to create your own ocean / nature inspired lino prints. Emily will guide you on how to break down an image into positive and negative spaces for carving, teach the process of taking drawings through to prints, and introduce easy tools and materials great for starting out and improving your skills.

During this workshop, you’ll:

• Explore the tools and materials used in lino printmaking
• Learn essential carving and printing techniques
• Create your own unique design and bring it to life through print
• Take home your handmade prints and your A5 carved lino block to continue creating

Perfect for anyone looking to explore their creativity, this workshop provides a relaxed and supportive environment to try something new. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

By booking a workshop, you agree that a minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to proceed.
Cancellations - If you give more than 10 days notice prior to commencement of the workshop or course, you may receive a full refund for your course fee.
Cancellations between 3-10 days from the workshop date will not receive a refund, but you may reschedule for a future date (to the value of your course fee). Cancellations less than three days from the start date will not be refunded. Your purchase is in acceptance of these terms.
