Perfect for beginners, this relaxed and supportive workshop is designed to help you explore your creativity while learning the beautiful art of lino printing. Guided by local artist Emily Wright from Ahki Illustration, you’ll learn how to transform simple ideas and nature-inspired imagery into bold, handmade prints you’ll be proud to take home.

Inspired by the ocean and natural landscapes of the Surf Coast, Emily is known locally for her striking black-and-white surf lino prints and warm, encouraging teaching style. Throughout the workshop, she’ll guide you step-by-step through the process — from sketching your design and understanding positive and negative space, to carving, inking, and hand-printing your very own artwork.

Whether you’re craving a creative reset, trying something new, or simply wanting a few mindful hours away from the busyness of everyday life, this workshop offers the perfect space to slow down and make something meaningful with your hands.

During the workshop, you’ll:

• Learn the fundamentals of lino printmaking in a beginner-friendly way
• Explore simple carving and printing techniques
• Create your own ocean or nature-inspired design
• Print and take home your own handmade lino artworks
• Keep your carved A5 lino block so you can continue creating at home

No prior experience is needed, and all tools and materials are provided. Just bring yourself and a willingness to get creative.

A minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to proceed.

Cancellations

• More than 10 days notice prior to the workshop: Full refund available
• Between 3–10 days notice: No refund, however your booking can be transferred to a future workshop date (to the value of your original booking)
• Less than 3 days notice: Bookings are non-refundable
