Discover the art of lino printmaking in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners and designed for fun! Learn the fundamentals of this versatile and rewarding technique, from designing your print to carving your lino block and printing your masterpiece.
The workshop is run by Emily Wright from Ahki Illustration who is well known locally for her bold black and white surf lino prints. She will help you to create your own ocean / nature inspired lino prints. Emily will guide you on how to break down an image into positive and negative spaces for carving, teach the process of taking drawings through to prints, and introduce easy tools and materials great for starting out and improving your skills.
During this workshop, you’ll:
- Explore the tools and materials used in lino printmaking
- Learn essential carving and printing techniques
- Create your own unique design and bring it to life through print
- Take home your handmade prints and your A5 carved lino block to continue creating
Perfect for anyone looking to explore their creativity, this workshop provides a relaxed and supportive environment to try something new. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

Workshop & Booking Conditions
By booking a workshop, you agree that a minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to proceed.
Cancellations - If you give more than 10 days notice prior to commencement of the workshop or course, you may receive a full refund for your course fee.
Cancellations between 3-10 days from the workshop date will not receive a refund, but you may reschedule for a future date (to the value of your course fee). Cancellations less than three days from the start date will not be refunded. Your purchase is in acceptance of these terms.

Shipping
The prints will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve with backing board inside a sturdy cardboard envelope for protection.
I will use the shipping address that you provide at the checkout. Please make sure it is correct and current.Orders of A5 and A4 prints will be sent as large letters and therefore will not have tracking included.
Orders of A3 and larger will be sent with a tracking number that will be emailed to you at time of dispatch.
Orders will be dispatched from Torquay, Australia within 3 business days of purchase. -
Returns & Exchanges
There are no returns or refunds on original artworks, so please choose carefully and check measurements. Goods can be exchanged within 14 days of purchase however, any additional postage costs are at the buyer's own expense.
Unfortunately, as a small business, Ahki Illustration cannot accept returns due to a change of mind. If you receive a damaged parcel please take photos, keep the parcel and contact us within 24 hours of receiving your delivery. Any time after this will not be considered.
Damages
Every effort is taken to package your artwork carefully and minimise the risk of damage. In the unlikely event any damage occurs in transit, please contact Ahki Illustration straight away with photos. We can then arrange a replacement or refund.
